KILN DRYING IS A MUST
Although reclaimed wood is old and seasoned, it's still not dry enough for interior use. All of our plank flooring, whether reclaimed or new, is kiln dried to a standard 6-9% moisture content. Kiln drying conditions and stabilizes the wood, ensuring a superior floor for years to come. It also sterilizes the wood in the process to ensure that no unwanted critters come along for the ride.
STRICT GRADING STANDARDS
There are no established grade rules or trade associations in the reclaimed wood flooring industry. As a consumer, you have to trust your supplier to accurately produce the floor you've ordered. With many companies selling reclaimed wood today, that can be a real act of faith! K.D. Woods Company’s grading specifications were developed over our many years in the industry, so we guarantee the consistent grade and quality of your floor.
PRECISION MILLWORK
All planks are hand selected for the best face, pre-surfaced, laser-ripped, milled with an offset tongue & groove for a thicker wear surface and end matched to lock the ends of the boards down. Our quality control process assures that we ship high quality products, saving you time and money on installation.
CAREFUL PACKAGING PROTECTS YOUR INVESTMENT
Your flooring is strapped into easy to handle packs, then neatly stacked and banded securely to a skid. This protects your order in transit and simplifies unloading and job-site handling.
DELIVERY IS EASY AND AFFORDABLE
